Academic Support

Academic Support

Westfield students benefit from a learning experience which combines smaller classrooms with additional individualized support from our special education teachers. The students’ overall learning experience is thereby enhanced when specialized and individualized attention is required to address emotional or learning challenges. The goal is always to provide strategies that enable students to achieve academic and social success, helping them to gain confidence and develop skills.

The Academic Support program can address:

  • executive functioning skills,
  • organizational skills,
  • processing and learning disabilities.

Our Learning Specialist monitors the progress of all students, intervenes as needed, and works with both the students and teachers creating comprehensive academic support. Underachieving students, once feeling safe and supported, can begin to realize their academic potential.
